Worms in your pet can cause serious illness, vomiting, diarrhoea, poor coat condition and loss of weight.
There are many types of worms found in you pet.
These worms live in the intestine of your pet. Roundworms such as Toxocara can be potentially harmful to humans especially young children. It can even cause blindness if they come in contact with the faeces of a dog or cat infected with this worm
Lungworm infection is a life threatening disease. Adult lungworms live in the heart and chest. They damage the lungs causing breathing problems and coughing. They can also cause blood clotting problems leading to excessive bleeding in your pet.

Hookworms
Whipworms
Heartworms
Regular worming is the only way to ensure your pet stays worm free and healthy. We use a worm treatment called Drontal.
We recommend you worm your pet as follows:
Puppies less than 6 months:
Worm every month up to 6 months i.e. worm at 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 months of age.
Puppies over 6 months and Adult dogs:
Worm every 3 months i.e. worm at 6, 9, 12 and 15 months etc.
We can also set up a reminder by text message or e-mail to ensure your pet receives its regular worm doses.
Tapeworms are acquired when your pet eats mice or birds.
Fleas also play a role in transferring tapeworms. By ingesting a flea when grooming your pet may be taking in a tapeworm as well.
Therefore flea treatment is also important to keep your pet worm free.
